Major changes happening at Kafafa

Hi all,

Since we launched Kafafa back in March, we’ve run into plenty of unexpected plot twists and learning curves, and we’ve learned plenty about what we’ve done correctly and what could use a little tweaking. Many of you may be wondering why our prospected changes to the software are taking so long. To tell you the truth, we’re working on way more than just an update; we’re giving Kafafa a major overhaul from redesigning our homepages to relocating our servers. All of this is aimed toward making Kafafa the best and easiest way to make your own website for both individuals and businesses alike.

As you know, good progress takes good time. We appreciate your patience while we make these changes and are excited to release our hard-earned work to you. We doubt you’ll be disappointed.

Kafafa editor temporarily down

This afternoon, Kafafa.com’s security was compromised. To keep our members’ websites safe, we are prohibiting users from editing their websites for a brief amount of time. You will still be able to access your website in the meantime.

We greatly apologize for this unfortunate event. We are undergoing major changes to our framework to make sure that events such as this never happen again. The release date for new version of Kafafa previously mentioned has been set back briefly to implement these changes, but will continue to progress.

New version in the works

Kafafa will soon be rolling in its first update! This update will eliminate issues with some browsers and eliminate bugs with the interface. New amendments will include:

Tons of bug fixes: Ensuring a pleasant user experience with Kafafa is our priority, and it sure rubs us the wrong way when things don’t work the way they should. In the next update we will be fixing all known bugs in Kafafa and do extensive testing to make sure none others arise. If you’ve found what you believe is a bug in the software, please let us know.

Fully browser/OS compatible: Kafafa supports Internet Explorer 7 and 8, Firefox, Chrome and Safari, but we will continue to make sure there are no kinks between browsers or operating systems, and by this update Kafafa should work flawlessly on all modern platforms.

Goodies: Tons of website add-ons from photo galleries to shopping carts will be available to paste on to your existing website. Refer to the Coming Soon – Goodies! post below for more information.

Full-featured blogging tool: Kafafa will make it even easier for website makers to create their own blog using Kafafa. Write an entry and paste it directly onto your web page in only a couple clicks.

Create multiple websites: After the update, Kafafa will allow you to create multiple websites per email account. Users enjoying Kafafa Pro services will be able to create additional Pro accounts for free.

These features should arrive on the site within 30-60 days. In the meantime, we hope you continue to enjoy creating websites with Kafafa!

Coming soon – Goodies!

Kafafa is just branching out on the Web, but already we’re hard at work designing more ways Kafafa can help benefit your website. One of them is the addition of an “Add Goodies” button, which will accompany the “Add Media” button when you go to edit your content on a page.

Clicking this button will give you access to a plethora of pre-programmed tools and gadgets that you can add to your website to make it more functional and dynamic. Here are a few of the goodies we are planning to add:

Contact form: Add a customizable contact form to your website to provide your viewers with a more streamlined way to contact you or your organization.

Message board: Put a message board, comment box, or guestbook on your website and give your viewers a chance to be heard by everyone.

File uploads: Give your users the chance to make their own files accessible through your site.

Password protection: Add a password to certain pages of your website in order to provide access to only certain groups of users.

Photo gallery: Upload multiple photos to your website and arrange them into an organized gallery or slideshow! Perfect for a slew of vacation photos or the like.

Shopping cart: Create an online store with your very own shopping cart! Visitors will be able to shop within your site and pay for their purchases through PayPal.

Poll: Let your viewers express their thoughts through customized polls.

Visitor counter: Keep track of the number of users who visit your website.

Embed tool: Share your favorite YouTube videos or other media through your website.

Blogging tool: Want to start a blog on your website? Kafafa will soon offer a full-featured set of tools for write and managing blog entries in just a few clicks.
